Amazon has promised to work with Congress on antitrust concerns, but stopped short of agreeing for Jeff Bezos to appear in front of an influential committee — raising the possibly that US lawmakers may issue a subpoena compelling the chief executive to testify. The House of Representatives judiciary committee’s antitrust investigation earlier this month requested Mr Bezos personally answer allegations that Amazon used data on third-party sellers to give its own products an unfair advantage.
