Apple Inc. unveiled the high-end iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max devices at a virtual launch event Tuesday. These phones will support 5G connectivity, along with the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 devices that Apple announced earlier in its presentation.

The company focused on the iPhone 12 Pro’s camera enhancements, as both phones in the Pro line have a triple-camera setup. The phones will also have Apple’s AAPL, -2.54% A14 Bionic chip, which the company said offers the fastest CPU and GPU performance in a smartphone.

Apple also is adding a LiDAR scanner to the Pro models, allowing the phones to engage in better depth sensing. The LiDAR scanner can see in the dark and improves low-light photos, the company said. It also allows for better augmented-reality capabilities.
