Democratic presidential candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders, has canceled his events and appearances after being hospitalized yesterday evening, his top campaign advisor Jeff Weaver announced on Wednesday.
Sanders was taken to the hospital on Tuesday evening in Las Vegas after experiencing some chest discomfort during a campaign event.
“Following medical evaluation and testing, he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted,” Weaver said.
Weaver said Sanders is conversing and is in good spirits and will be resting “over the next few days.”
All appearances have been cancelled until further notice.
The next Democratic debate ahead of the 2020 election is scheduled for Oct. 15.
