ByteDance and U.S. Discuss Ways to Avoid Full Sale of TikTok

The clock is ticking for ByteDance to sell TikTok’s U.S. operations. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Aug. 6, and another on Aug. 14, giving ByteDance until Sept. 20 to sell before the video-sharing app is banned in the U.S., and until Nov. 12 to complete a deal.
