Cannabis company Aphria to switch stock listing to Nasdaq from NYSE

Canada-based cannabis company Aphria Inc. said Tuesday its U.S.-listed stock will leave the New York Stock Exchange in favor of the Nasdaq Global Select Market, effective after the June 5 close. The stock will begin trading on the Nasdaq under the same ticker symbol "APHA" on June 8. "This move is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to find cost effective ways of operating so we can continue to deliver long-term value to shareholders," said Chief Executive Irwin Simon.
