Factories sprout across once-rural Williamson County
Another milestone is in the books for Williamson County, the fast-growing county just north of Austin that’s emerging into what one local leader has called the “technology superhighway of the world.” The county has long been home to tech giant Dell but has more recently added a $1 billion Apple campus, while Taylor is set to get a $17 billion chipmaking plant from Samsung Electronics Co.
