Vodafone Group PLC said Wednesday that it is partnering with Amazon.com Inc.’s cloud unit, Amazon Web Services, to enable compute and storage services at the edge of Vodafone’s network.
The U.K. telecommunications group VOD, -0.94% said it will make AWS’s AMZN, -0.65% wavelength service available in Europe, to provide access to edge-computing capabilities to developers, Internet of Things, devices and end users.
AWS Wavelength will be available first on Vodafone’s 5G network in the U.K. and Germany, expanding to other markets across Europe, the U.K. company said.
