Stocks traded lower Thursday after grim data on unemployment revealed the continuing effect the coronavirus pandemic was having on the jobs market and as investors weighed a bevy of corporate earnings. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 286 points, or 1.16%, to 24,347, the S&P 500 declined 0.8% and the Nasdaq was down 0.08%.
