Justice Department Adds to Charges Against Fugitive Advisor Accused of $10M Ponzi Scheme
A fugitive former investment advisor is facing additional charges for allegedly orchestrating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded dozens of investors of at least $10 million. A federal grand jury on Wednesday charged Christopher Burns, 40, with 10 counts of wire fraud, four counts of money laundering, and two counts of mail fraud. Burns, of Berkeley Lake, Ga., had previously been charged with one count of mail fraud in October 2020.
