DAVE BRIGGS: We’re about to clock out after a crazy week for the markets between the Fed and tech earnings and the fun just beginning. Here’s what to expect next week. On Monday, we’ll get readings on construction spending and the manufacturing sector, plus a look at inflation with earnings from Kellogg’s ahead of the open. And after the close, Activision Blizzard and Pinterest are on the docket.
Tuesday, being one of the busiest days on the earnings calendar, before the market opens, Caterpillar, JetBlue, Uber, and Marriott some of the top names to watch. And after the bell, keep an eye out for Electronic Arts, EA, PayPal, AMD, Airbnb, and Starbucks. On the economic calendar, look at the labor market with the JOLTS report.
Wednesday, biotech and healthcare in focus, with Moderna, CVS, and Regeneron all reporting in the morning. After the close, Robinhood, eBay, and MGM report. Thursday the busiest day of the week for earnings. ConocoPhillips, Eli Lilly, Shake Shack, Alibaba, Square, Virgin Galactic, Lyft, DoorDash, and Expedia among the big names posting results. We’ll also be getting initial jobless claims and trade deficit data ahead of the open. And Friday, the July jobs report comes out at 8:30 AM Eastern time. A big week right here on Yahoo Finance.
