Facebook to feature COVID-19 information resource at top of users' feed

Facebook Inc. on Wednesday said it will place a coronavirus information center at the top of everyone's Facebook feed over the next 24 hours to share authoritative information from the CDC, WHO, and other health-care experts on the pandemic. In a conference call with reporters, Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said the goal is to provide "access to good authoritative information" as well as stanch harmful misinformation. "In a time of disaster, people rely more on social services more... and we are seeing surges in traffic, especially in areas most affected," said Zuckerberg, who added he is working from home.
