Weeks after announcing its annual developer conference in Mountain View would take place online to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Google has called off Google I/O entirely. The Mountain View internet giant said Friday that I/O would not be held “in any capacity” this year out of concern for the health of Google’s developers and employees and to comply with the recent “shelter in place” orders that went into effect in the Bay Area early Tuesday morning.
