If there was one thing the car-buying public noticed this year, it might be that manufacturers are trying very, very hard to get you behind the wheel of an electric-powered car. Nearly every manufacturer introduced or is close to introducing at least one electric vehicle, and some have more than one for sale. Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) said its electric vehicles sales were up 103% in November compared with a year ago, and Ford is now America’s second-best-selling brand and manufacturer of electric vehicles behind Tesla.
