One of the most highly anticipated videogames of the year, "Halo Infinite," will be delayed into 2021, which means it will not be available when Microsoft Corp. launches its new Xbox gaming console later this year. "Halo" has been a defining videogame series for the Xbox line of consoles, with Microsoft acquiring the original developer, Bungie, to have the first "Halo" as an exclusive launch game for the original Xbox. Microsoft expected to keep that tradition alive by launching the sixth game in the "Halo" series this fall as it releases the new Xbox Series X, but current developer 343 Industries said Tuesday on Twitter that the game will be pushed to 2021. "The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts," the statement reads. " ... It is not sustainable for the well-being of our team or the overall success of the game to ship it this holiday."
