Amazon retail CEO Dave Clark steps down
Dave Clark, the leader of Amazon.com Inc.’s (Nasdaq: AMZN) vast logistics and operations network is leaving the company after 23 years. Clark, who has recently relocated to Dallas with his family, said “for some time, I have discussed my intent to transition out of Amazon with my family and others close to me, but I wanted to ensure the teams were setup for success.” In an email to employees, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said Clark’s resignation takes effect July 1, the first day of Amazon’s third fiscal quarter.
