‘In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus.’
That’s CNN anchor Chris Cuomo announcing on Twitter TWTR, +0.16% on Tuesday that he has contracted COVID-19 but will push forward with his “Cuomo Prime Time” show.
“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive, and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath,” he continued. “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”
Cuomo was most recently at CNN’s offices in the new Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday, the network reported. He anchored from his home on Monday, and interviewed his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, in a chat that was widely shared on social media.
Here’s a snippet from that interview:
CNN, with its anchors broadcasting from small studios and home offices, said this is the third case of coronavirus at its New York City workplace.
