Bernie Sanders did it. So did Amy Klobuchar. Pete Buttigieg and Kirsten Gillibrand are about to. But it doesn’t look like you will be seeing Elizabeth Warren fielding any questions from a Fox News audience anytime soon.
‘I’ve done 57 media avails and 131 interviews, taking over 1,100 questions from press just since January. Fox News is welcome to come to my events just like any other outlet. But a Fox News town hall adds money to the hate-for-profit machine. To which I say: hard pass.’
That’s how Warren explained on Twitter TWTR, +2.08% her decision to turn down a request for her to appear at a town hall on Fox News.
“I won’t ask millions of Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits from racism and hate in order to see our candidates,” she continued in her Tuesday tweet storm. “Especially when Fox will make even more money adding our valuable audience to their ratings number.”

Warren’s decision to avoid the conservative network fits with her approach of taking positions viewed by many as perhaps further left than some of her competition, such as her stance on impeaching Trump and forgiving student debt.
