‘Major meow moment… a brushing back in a huge catfight.’
That’s Kellyanne Conway, on her visit to the friendly confines of “Fox & Friends” Tuesday morning, describing the recent tussle between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and four freshman Democrats.
Conway was talking about how Pelosi took issue with Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib over their opposition to a $4.6-billion bill aimed at improving conditions at the border.
“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter TWTR, +3.05% world,” Pelosi told the New York Times NYT, -0.43% . “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
In defense of the four lawmakers, known as “The Squad,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “That public ‘whatever’ is called public sentiment,” she said in a tweet over the weekend. “And wielding the power to shift it is how we actually achieve meaningful change in this country.”
As you can see in this interview, Conway is clearly enjoying every minute:
