Facebook parent Meta Platforms has signed a deal to pay Gorilla Glass maker Corning up to $6 billion for fiber-optic cables for its AI data centers, CNBC reported on Tuesday. Shares of Corning jumped more than 7% in premarket trading, while Meta gained marginally. Both the companies did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
