Walmart adds Paramount+ streaming to its Walmart+ paid membership program
Walmart is including a basic-level subscription to the Paramount+ streaming service with a Walmart+ membership as it continues to add benefits that compete with Amazon’s Prime program. The Paramount+ Essential Plan, valued at $50, will be included in the $98 a year or $12.95 a month Walmart+ membership fee, the company said. “Paramount has enjoyed a close relationship with Walmart for years, and Walmart customers connect with Paramount’s beloved brands, content, and characters every day through a range of consumer products available throughout Walmart stores,” said Jeff Shultz, chief strategy officer and chief business development officer, Paramount Streaming.
