PNC powering Pittsburgh and other legacy markets with renewable energy through new deal

PNC Bank will be powering almost half of its legacy operations — including the Pittsburgh region — with renewable energy. PNC on Wednesday announced a 15-year agreement with clean energy company Constellation Energy Corp. PNC (NYSE:PNC) will receive approximately 148 million kilowatt hours of energy per year through its retail agreement with Constellation (NASDAQ:CEG). “At PNC, we strive to be good stewards of the environment, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it is essential to supporting a high quality of life for our employees, customers and communities,” Kate Zettl, vice president and energy manager with PNC Bank’s realty services, said in a prepared statement.
