Former Poultry-Business Owner Tommy Bagwell Buys Colorado Property for $39.9 Million
A 4,860-acre ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colo., has sold for $39.9 million in an off-market transaction. Big Creek Ranch, named for a 6-mile trout stream that runs through the property, was first listed more than a decade ago for $59 million, but it had been on the market intermittently and wasn’t being actively marketed at the time of the sale. The buyer is Tommy Bagwell, former owner of American Proteins, a poultry-rendering business acquired by subsidiaries of Tyson Foods in 2018.
