Miley Cyrus is coming to Netflix.
The streaming giant dropped the first trailer for the fifth season of “Black Mirror” on Wednesday, and the “Wrecking Ball” singer stars in one of the three key storylines that will be featured in the next chapter of the Netflix NFLX, +2.72% sci-fi anthology premiering on June 5.
Cyrus, who’s been teasing a new album all over her social media pages of late with the phrase, “She Is Coming,” has a meta storyline playing a singer with “a lot of different sides,” as she told Howard Stern last year. “There’s a lot of dimension to it.”
The trailer, which runs just over a minute-and-a-half and has been viewed more than 3.66 million times on Twitter TWTR, +2.45% already, seems to shine a spotlight on the dark side of technology. (It’s a theme that’s been repeatedly explored by the show; most recently in the choose-your-own-adventure-style “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” that came out in December.)

“Avengers: Endgame” star Anthony Mackie also stars, and appears to be having marital trouble — as he is tempted by social media snaps of another woman. “Sherlock” and “Fleabag” star Andrew Scott is seen cocking a gun and being pulled over by police. And Topher Grace, Damson Idris and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will also star in the three new episodes depicting the dark future that Netflix warns we “should’ve seen coming.” Check it out below.
