What are Best Buy’s Black Friday 2020 store hours?

Store hours for Black Friday, Nov. 27, will be from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, but in response to the pandemic, Best Buy BBY, -0.48%   will kick off its Black Friday sale on Nov. 22.

That means you have an extended shopping season and more time to snag the best deals.

If you’re shopping online, the pandemic has triggered one consumer convenience that we hope won’t go away anytime soon: contactless curbside pickup. You park in a designated area and use the button in your emailed or texted order confirmation to let them know you’ve arrived. You flash an ID and give them your order number, and you’re done.

Best Buy also offers store pickup, next-day and even same-day delivery from most stores.

What are Best Buy’s Black Friday 2020 deals?

Best Buy’s Black Friday ad is here. Here are some of the best deals that have been announced:

  • A 70-inch Samsung SSNLF,   4K Smart TV for $529.99 ($220 savings).
  • Laptops starting at $119.99.
  • JBL Free True Wireless headphones for $59.99 ($90 savings).

My Best Buy members get early access to Black Friday deals on Nov. 16 and 17, and new offers launch online on Thanksgiving Day.

How can you save money at Best Buy?

Best Buy is offering some holiday shopping peace of mind with a “Black Friday guarantee.” If the price on one of the pre-announced Black Friday deals is discounted before Black Friday, My Best Buy customers will be automatically reimbursed the difference, the company says.

To really save money on Black Friday deals at Best Buy, try not to get sidetracked by all the shiny temptations. Stick to your well-planned gift list, and certainly aim to stay on budget.

It’s easy to fall into “price-creeping” — a few more dollars overspent here, a couple of bucks there, and soon you may be way over your planned holiday expenditures.

And use before-you-buy bargain scouting to find the best deals on comparable products. Best Buy is known for blowout prices on major electronics, but some of its under-$50 gift prices can be beat at mainstream retailers like Target TGT, -0.10%   and Walmart. WMT, +0.16%

What were Best Buy’s Black Friday 2019 deals?

Best Buy has always been a Black Friday behemoth. That’s because it’s one of the last national retailers specializing in tech and TVs.

In 2019, Best Buy’s formula was much the same as in years past: Discount giant TVs, and offer plenty of under-$50 gift ideas. Last year’s deals included:

  • A Samsung 70-inch 4K UHD TV that was discounted to $549.99, from $899.99.
  • Select videogames that were $27.99.
  • Select Blu-ray movies that were $7.99.
  • An Amazon AMZN, -0.86%   Echo Show 5 Smart Display with Alexa that was slashed from $89.99 to $49.99.
