Breaking: Disney reveals closure date for Splash Mountain ride in Orlando
The final day to ride one of Walt Disney World’s well-known rides, Splash Mountain, is set for early January. Walt Disney World, which is owned and operated by Burbank, California-based The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS), will close the ride Jan. 23, said the Disney Parks Blog. The closure makes way for an overhaul of the ride that will transition its theme and design to be inspired by the Disney film, “The Princess and the Frog.”
