Semiconductor company Nvidia will report earnings on Wednesday afternoon after previewing weaker-than-forecasted sales for the quarter earlier this month.

DAVE BRIGGS: My stock to watch for Wednesday is Nvidia. The company reporting earnings after the close tomorrow. And earlier this month, they preannounced weaker than forecast sales for the quarter on a softness in its gaming segment. Investors are keeping a close eye on guidance to get a sense of what demand is looking like for gaming and data centers.
And it’s not just institutional investors watching the results. Nvidia one of the most popular stocks among retail traders. Last week, it was the sixth most popular stock. Nvidia, though, the worst performing chip maker this year. Shares are down 42% year to date, up just over 1% on this day.
