Yahoo Finance’s Ines Ferré breaks down how markets are performing into the closing bell.

RACHELLE AKUFFO: Just about two minutes away from the closing bell, we’ll see if the major indices can hold onto the positive ground they cover today. For more on that, let’s bring in our very own Ines Ferre with a breakdown. Ines. INES FERRE: Yeah, Rachelle. I’m just taking a look at the major averages. They’re all in the green right now with the NASDAQ composite really the one that’s being the outperformer. Looking at the sector action– communication services, consumer discretionary, tech– these are the leaders today. And if we take a look at the NASDAQ 100, look at the left-hand side of the screen right there. You’ve got Tesla up more than 5%. Tesla about $100 away from its all time intraday high. Also, we’ve got these social media stocks, which are higher. Call it the Elon Musk effect. Twitter is our trending ticker on our Yahoo Finance page, up 28%. Meta up 4%. And also, taking a look at Pinterest, that’s up around 10% as well. Looking at the Chinese names, these are higher today. This is after China removed a key hurdle for US regulators, easing the risk of delisting of Chinese firms. But still, no agreement yet between the US and China officials. But the recent headlines have sent these stocks– ADRS– higher. This is from Friday and today, so you can take a look at the two-day chart there. Also taking a look at where we’re at with Ark Innovation. You can take a look at the components there. All of those in the green. Looking at oil, oil is higher today. It closed higher for both Brent and WTI. Brent crude up about 3%. WTI 4%.
