It’s been a busy week in not-safe-for-work Twitter trends. The virtual ink isn’t even dry on legal journalist Jeffrey Toobin and his cringey Zoom ZM, -4.43% incident, and we’re already on to Rudy Giuliani’s icky appearance in Amazon’s AMZN, -0.99% upcoming “Borat” sequel.
What’s Worth Streaming: Here’s what’s coming to Amazon Prime Video in October 2020
According to the Guardian, footage shows the former New York mayor and current personal lawyer to President Donald Trump reaching into his trousers while reclining on a bed in the presence of the actress playing the teenage daughter of Sacha Baron Cohen’s titular character.
The image quickly went viral on Twitter TWTR, +8.39% and was fodder for tweets like this:
This is how the scene apparently went down: Billed by Cohen, in his comic “gotcha” manner, as an interview for a news show, the action moves to the bedroom of a hotel suite following a suggestion by the female interviewer that she and Giuliani repair there for a drink.
At that point, the actress playing the interviewer takes off his microphone, and he lies back, whereupon enters Borat, saying, “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.” For the record, the actress is not 15. She’s reportedly a full nine years older than that. So, at least there’s that.
Giuliani late Wednesday called the video “a complete fabrication,” and in a series of tweets threated “much bigger dumps off of the hard drive from hell” that will allegedly implicate Joe Biden.
A White House spokesman, talking to reporters after the news broke, said, “I have not seen it. So, we’ll have to get back to you on that,” adding that Giuliani is a “patriot” and “zealous representative” of the president. The internet’s response, of course, was far from a “no comment” as Giuliani and the #ByeGiuliani hashtag blew up:
To be fair, not everybody was piling on Giuliani, with one alt-right figure suggesting that more attention be paid to another story of this week in which Giuliani is a central player:

The first “Borat” film was a huge hit, raking in about $262 million in 2006 and winning a Golden Globe award for the London-born Cohen. We’ll see whether the hotly-anticipated new one can live up to the rising hype when it is released on Friday.
Be forewarned that Amazon lists Mike Pence as “starring” in the film, whose formal title is “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.” Cohen reportedly crashed a speech earlier this year by the vice president while wearing a Trump costume.
