Tesla drivers, whether sleeping at the wheel, filming a porn scene or just worshipping at the altar of Elon Musk, have their fair share of detractors.
This latest parking job isn’t helping.
Phil Fraumeni told WPBF 25 in Lake Worth, Fla., this week how his landscaper woke him early in the morning and asked him to move his car so he could mow his lawn. Turns out Fraumeni didn’t park on his lawn. Rather, some stranger, as the photo above shows, had the gumption to park his Tesla TSLA, -0.34% Model 3 in his yard and plug it in to the side of his house. For 12 hours!
Apparently, Fraumeni is a pretty relaxed guy.
Instead of vandalizing the Tesla — like others have done for lesser reasons — he waited a few hours before calling police.
The owner was eventually tracked down, and he explained that he ran out of juice while visiting a friend in the neighborhood.
Lucky for him, the young man chose Fraumeni’s lawn and all was ultimately forgiven. Also lucky for him, Fraumeni’s wife wasn’t home. She later complained on a Facebook FB, -0.48% post that the brazen owner didn’t even apologize and that he should have been charged for the electricity.
Gizmodo calculated the cost would have been about $4, but still.
