DAVE BRIGGS: It’s closing time here at Yahoo Finance. Let’s get you caught up on some of the biggest stories of the day.

Shares of Alphabet ending the day nearly 3% lower on concerns about the AI threat to its search dominance. The “New York Times” reporting that Samsung was considering replacing Google as the default search engine on its devices with Microsoft’s Bing. Bing has quickly risen in popularity thanks to its ChatGPT features. Now Google finds itself in a race to catch up, releasing its own generative AI called Bard.

INES FERRE: And Netflix is set to release its first-quarter earnings tomorrow after the market close. Analysts are expecting the streamer to report adjusted earnings of $2.86 a share on revenue of $8.2 billion. We’ll also see if we get an update on what forced the company to scrap the live airing of its “Love is Blind” reunion special. Netflix apologized to disappointed viewers but did not provide much detail beyond that.

DAVE BRIGGS: And, finally, SpaceX was forced to scrub the launch of its Starship rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeting that a valve appeared to be frozen, and the company would retry the launch in a few days.
