Amazon.com Inc.'s second headquarters is expected to generate additional demand for office space in Crystal City and Pentagon City, but apparently not enough for the e-commerce and cloud computing company's HQ2 landlord to build speculatively. JBG Smith Properties (NYSE: JBGS), in its quarterly earnings package released Tuesday, discussed the recent submission of plans to develop nearly 2.6 million square feet in Crystal City apart from the space it is leasing or plans to develop for Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN).
